PERSOL Ratti Meflecto
ORIGINAL VINTAGE. NEVER WORN. Turin 1917, Giuseppe Ratti, photographer and owner of Berry Opticians, began an adventure destined to lead to international success. He began to make technically advanced glasses, designed to satisfy the demands of pilots and sports drivers who required comfort, protection and optimum vision.
In 1938 Ratti patented the first flexible side, the Meflecto: the idea was that, by virtue of little cylinders of metal or nylon that were inserted vertically through the temple-piece and then intersected with a flexible steel core running along the interior of each side, the sides would hug the wearer's head, resulting in a comfortable fit.
